Date: 14 February 2015
Venue: Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
Chippa and Maritzburg remain winless in the league this year after playing out a 1-1 draw at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
Both sides came into the game on the back of 2-1 defeats in their midweek fixtures.
The Chilli Boys were first to threaten the opposition's goal as they created a decent chance in the third minute. A cross from Siyabulela Shai found George Akpabio, but the headed effort was wide of the target.
The chances were few and far between for both sides, but the breakthrough arrived in the 36th minute as the hosts took the lead. Gert Barends picked out Akpabio with a pass and the striker did the rest, finding the back of the Maritzburg net.
The Team of Choice didn't manage a single shot on target during the first half and Chippa keeper Mbongeni Mzimela had to wait until the hour mark to be tested when Nhlanhla Vilakazi forced a save with his strike.
Maritzburg finally got a few shots on goal in the latter part of the second half and netted an equaliser with one of those shots. Terrence Mandaza created the opening for Mohammed Anas who bagged the leveller for the visitors in the 75th minute.
