Two late strikes resulted in a 1-1 draw between Mpumalanga Black Aces and AmaZulu in their Absa Premiership clash on Saturday.
The first 80 minutes of the clash was an uneventful affair that saw very few shots on target and only a couple of chances created by both teams. Neither side succeeded in finding gaps in the opposing team's defence due to a lack of accuracy in the final third.
The first shot on target arrived in the 29th minute as S'fiso Hlanti tried his luck, but Black Aces keeper Jackson Mabokgwane caught the ball comfortably.
Usuthu gloveman Energy Murambadoro had to wait until the 35th minute before he was called into action. Thanduyise Khuboni directed an effort on goal but the man between the sticks was up to the modest challenge.
The opening goal seemed unlikely to arrive but in the 78th minute it was Khuboni who gave Amazayoni the lead. The hosts won a penalty after Mbulelo Mabizela fouled Dino Ndlovu in the area and Khuboni slotted the spot-kick.
However, in the 86th minute the scores were level once again. Bongani Ndulula played Bongi Ntuli in and he made no mistake with his finish as he netted the equaliser to salvage a point for AmaZulu.
