PSL Confirm Q3 Winners, Chiefs In Second Place

The PSL has confirmed that the prize for the 2016/17 Absa Premiership season Q3 of the Q-Innovation is heading to Cape Town City.

Eric Tinkler’s side beat Golden Arrows a 1-0 in their penultimate league game of the season on Wednesday, as they look to seal what has been an impressive campaign for them.

The PSL has issued a statement confirming the Mother City outfit as the winners of the Q3 of the Q-Innovation.

Cape Town City, a club that has captivated many people’s hearts during the 2016/17 Absa Premiership season, were today confirmed as the Quarter Three winners.

The Cape Town-based outfit walks away with the top prize, having won six of their eight matches in this block. They accumulated 20 points.

This is the first time that Cape Town City has won a Quarter since the introduction of the Q-Innovation.

They are currently sitting third on the Absa Premiership log standings with 55 points from 29 games and finishing second during this Quarter was Kaizer Chiefs with 18 points – two shy of overall winners.
