Black Leopards wasted a host of chances, as they played out a 0-0 draw with Stellenbosch FC in their PSL Promotion/Relegation tie on Saturday afternoon.
The home side threatened early on and should have went ahead after seven minutes but Mwape Musonda blazed over from close range with only Washington Arubi to beat.
Stellenbosch set up in a similar way to which they did against Baroka on Wednesday, as the looked to attack on the counter.
Leopards continued to push for an opening goal and they went close in the 31st minute but Arubi produced a superb save to deny Musonda in the box.
The visitors, meanwhile, struggled to get possession off Leopards , which lead to a lack of chances in the 18-yard area.
For all of their dominance, Leopards failed to take their opportunities, while Stellenbosch failed to register a single effort on target in the first half.
Leopards went agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock in the 58th minute when Ivan Mahangwahaya rattled the crossbar from six-yards out.
Both sides opted for a change after 70 minutes as Thivhavhudzi Ndou replaced Musonda, while Mogamad De Goede went on for Mame Niang.
Stellenbosch's chances of snatching a win was made tougher after 86 minutes when Diego Brown was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Leopards pushed for a winning goal in the closing stages of the second, but the Stellenbosch defence managed to hold out till the final whistle.
The point moves Stellenbosch to the top of the standings, while Leopards remain third.
