Absa Premiership
Teams: University of Pretoria v Polokwane City
Date: 05 April 2014
Venue: Tuks Stadium
Relegation-threatened Polokwane City will be hoping to end their losing streak by causing an upset with a win over University of Pretoria when the two teams clash in an Absa Premier League match at the Tuks Stadium tonight.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 18h00.
Steve Barker’s side is in position 12, and a win over City can help them go above Moroka Swallows who lost to Ajax Cape Town last night.
They have collected 28 points from their 24 league matches so far in the campaign.
Tuks lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in last weekend's league match and their coach has said he is confident his team can bounce back against City to keep their hopes of securing a top 8 finish alive.
They also have reported no injury or suspensions heading into their encounter against struggling City.
Boebie Solomon’s City side on the other hand is rooted at the wrong end of the Absa Premiership table, and a win against Tuks can boost their chances of avoiding relegation.
They are a point behind Free State Stars who are in 14th position.
City will be hoping to build momentum from last weekend's one-all draw against Free State Stars, where their top goal scorer Puleng Tlolane netted his 7th goal of the league season.
