Moroka Swallows captain, Lefa Tsutsulupa feels his side were bitterly unlucky to suffer a 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates in an Absa Premiership match on Saturday.
A single goal from Tlou Segolela in the 12th minute was the difference between the two sides, but Tsutsulupa was handed the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his efforts in the heart of the Birds midfield.
Speaking after the match the Swallows captain admits his side were not at their best in the first half, but dominated the second half and were unlucky to find the back of the net.
“In the first half we didn’t really manage to connect a couple of passes, but in the second half it was much better,” said Tsutsulupa.
“We played well, we created chances and I think we were unlucky not to get an equalizer, but it was not to be.
“We have simply been unlucky.”
The result leaves Swallows hovering only seven points above the relegation zone in 12th place on 27 points, and Tsutsulupa admits they are feeling the pressure.
“Definitely (we feel under pressure),” added the captain.
“I don’t think we are where we are supposed to be on the table, especially the way we are playing, but if you don’t get goals you can’t win.
“At the end of the day, as a team, we need to work harder.”
