A PSL move could be on the cards for a French goalkeeper, following Marshall Munetsi's move to France from Orlando Pirates.
As confirmed by the Buccaneers, Munetsi has concluded his move to French top-flight side Stade de Reims, as he looks to further his blossoming career, after the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt where he is with the Zimbabwe national team.
News reaching the Siya crew is that French goalkeeper Anthony Mfa Mezui has sights on making a PSL move during the transfer window, this according the player’s representative based in South Africa.
The 28-year-old, who has also been playing for Gabon’s senior national team, is currently a free agent.
“Yes, Anthony is indeed in the country and he is a free agent. We are speaking to three teams that we can’t mention for confidentiality reasons,” player’s representative Nimrod Matimu Mbhalati told the Siya crew.
“We are trying to get the best team for him in the country. I mean, this guy has played at the highest level and is Gabon’s international number one keeper. So, he is the real deal,” added the representative.
Upon investigation, sources in Mangaung have alerted the Siya crew to Bloemfontein Celtic’s interest in the player.
Patrick Tignyemb, who has been Celtic’s number one goalkeeper over the years is set to join Chippa United for the upcoming season, as previously reported bySoccer Laduma.
