Jerry Sikhosana is enjoying the way Orlando Pirates are playing and is confident that they will keep up their momentum to come away with a win against Free State Stars.
Pirates will be taking on Ea Lla Koto after failing to overcome Bidvest Wits in a hurdle that broke their three match winning streak in the PSL. The match against their opponents tonight could prove to be pivotal in their quest to climb the PSL standings and to finish the season as high up the log as possible.
Sikhosana has said that Pirates are playing well and he’s happy to see them hungry to improve.
“In the last league game that they played at home, they beat Jomo Cosmos by five goals and I think they’ll want to continue doing that,” he told Soccer Laduma.
“What a pleasure that Orlando Pirates team can be (to watch). When they do something, they always want to do even better, and I think that’s what’s in the boys’ minds also.”
The Buccaneers have won only two of their last six games against the eighth-placed side, with three of those games ending in stalemates. Although, Pirates have won all of their last four home games against their opponents. Both sides are in similar form as well, with just three wins from their last six league games.
Pirates can also be expected to put in a strong defensive performance, considering that they have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven against Stars, who have also only scored 13 goals in the 12 games since Giovanni Solinas’ appointment.
The match gets underway at 20:15 tonight at Orlando Stadium.
