Nyanda Inspires Dikwena To Victory

Mduduzi Nyanda scored and set up another as Platinum Stars defeated Maritzburg United 2-1 in a Absa Premiership clash at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
The win sees Allan Freese's side jump up to fourth on the Absa Premiership log, while the Team of Choice remain 13th.
Robert N'gambi had the first effort on target in the first minute as the the Stars' midfielder fired a shot straight at Virgil Vries.
Siphelele Mthembu almost opened the scoring in the seventh minute but the Stars striker fired his long range strike just wide of target.
Thokozani Sekotlong tried his luck from range in the 17th minute but the Maritzburg United midfielder fired his effort just wide of Vries' left-hand post.
Three minutes later and Ashley Hartog had a crack from distance but the striker's effort failed to trouble Vries.
Dikwena came close to opening the scoring gin the 35th minute but the midfielder's effort went inches wide of the right-hand post.
That was as good as it got in the opening stanza, as neither side managed to create any clear cut openings.
Mdudui Nyanda opened the scoring for Dikwena 10 minutes after the halftime break with a left-footed finish from close range after being set up by N'gambi.
Mandaza leveled matters in the 66th minute with a finish from close range after the Dikwena defence failed to deal with a corner.
N'gambi squandered a great chance to restore the hosts lead in the 73rd minute but the midfielder failed to beat Vries from six-yards out.
The home side pushed for the go-ahead goal and were rewarded in the 77th minute as substitute Mahlatse Makudubela finished into an empty after some good work by Nyanda.
