A brace from Tendai Ndoro helped Mpumalanga Black Aces secure a 2-0 victory over Ajax Cape Town in a Absa Premiership clash at Athlone Stadium.
The win moves AmaZayoni up to sixth on the Absa Premiership log, while The Urban Warriors remain in 11th position.
It did not take the visitors long to stamp their authority on the games, as Tendai Ndoro's clinical left footed finish gave Aces the lead in the first minute.
Four minutes later and Onyechi Okokwo tried his luck from distance but the Aces striker fired his shot just wide of the left-hand post.
Eleazar Rodgers could have leveled matters in the eighth minute, but the Ajax striker headed wide from close range, after getting on the end of Keagan Dolly's corner.
The next bit of goal mouth action arrived in the 30th minute as Abia Nale's long strike drew a fine save from Annsi Jaakkola.
Aces' Method Mwanjali tried his luck with free kick outside the area just before the halftime break, but the fullback's effort was comfortably dealt with by Jaakkola.
Clive Barker's men started the second half the way they did the first, as Ndoro's powerful free kick forced Jaakkola into a fine save in the 50th minute.
Jaakkola was proving to be the busier of the two goalkeepers and he had to be at his best in the 58th minute to deny Ndoro from close range.
The host nearly found their equaliser in the 74th minute through Simba Sithole but the Zimbabwean's header flew inches over the crossbar.
Ndoro got his and Aces' second of the night in the 79th minute with simple finish from close range, after a neat one-two with Themba Zwane.
Ndoro nearly completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute, the Aces striker ran the length of the pitch before firing just wide of Jaakkola's post.
