According to a statement released by the league, the club has also been charged with bringing the League into disrepute. Both parties pleaded guilty and the player and club were each fined R25 000, suspended for 12 months.
Khune, who is the number one goalkeeper for Bafana Bafana, was also ordered to furnish a written apology. Khune and Chiefs were ordered to pay the costs of the sitting.
Meanwhile, National First Division side Black Leopards was charged with failing to have the requisite medical personnel available prior to and at the start of their fixture against Thanda Royal Zulu on 2 November at the Seshego Stadium. The club paid an admission of guilt fine of R5 000.
