Having spent several months as Ajax Cape Town’s interim head coach, the Siya crew has been informed that Jan Pruijn’s days at the helm of the club are numbered.
Former coach, Maarten Stekelenburg, was fired back in October of last year and, due to unfortunate circumstances involving the club’s directors, they have not been able to come to an agreement on who would take over.
However, the crew has now been informed that the current Head of Technical Affairs and long-term favourite for the Urban Warriors post, Jan Versleijen, will take over the reigns from Pruijn at some point this week.
Ajax have had a tough season so far in this campaign’s PSL, and with a host of new faces expected in their ranks come the end of January and Versleijen taking over as head coach, fans of the club will be hoping for a 2013 far better than their 2012.
