Moroka Swallows’ CEO, Leon Prins, says that striker Katlego Mashego is not for sale, although admits that the right offer could prise him away.
The Siya crew revealed last month that PSL big-spenders, Mamelodi Sundowns, were looking to lure last season’s Absa Premiership top goal scorer away from Dobsonville, with Pitso Mosimane said to be a big fan.
However, since then talk has died down somewhat, with Swallows likely to be driving a hard bargain for the Bafana Bafana international.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Prins explained that while Mashego is not for sale, he may leave if he receives a player in return.
Prins said, “There’s interest, but that’s it. Mashego is not for sale, however I will sell him if a good offer comes in and I can get a good replacement for him but I’m not sure that will happen.”
It remains to be seen which striker Swallows want in replace of Mashego, although names such as Eleazar Rodgers and Edward Manqele have both been linked with the Dube Birds.
