If the Siya crew sources are anything to go by, Bloemfontein Celtic striker, Roderick Mutuma, is on thin ice at the club.
The 25-year-old marksman signed for Phunya Sele Sele amid much fanfare in the January transfer window, but is yet to quite set the scene alight and it is believed pressure is starting to heat up on him. He has started three league games and made four substitute appearances, scoring two goals in the process.
Although that is an incredible scoring ratio of 75%, sources inside the club say Ernst Middendorp is not a fan of the player and, if he doesn’t deliver and show consistency in the next couple of games, he could make way as soon as the January transfer window.
Our source revealed, “The guy is trying, but things haven’t gone quite the way he has wanted. There is a lot of pressure on him. If he leaves the club, it will be difficult to get a team here in South Africa because everyone will already have known how he has done at Celtic, so he would have to go back home. The lack of game time seems to be really frustrating him.”
