PSL Announce Fixtures, Ajax Want To Interdict Start Of League
Premier Soccer League Announce Fixtures But Ajax Cape Town Set To Interdict Start Of The League
The Premier Soccer League announced the opening fixtures of the Absa Premiership yesterday despite Ajax Cape Town returning to court today.
Following Judge Denise Fischer’s ruling of having Ajax reinstated into 15th position on the Absa Premiership and deemed the promotion/relegation play-offs null and void, the PSL confirmed that they will be appealing this judgement.
In addition, the league also confirmed that the Absa Premiership will go ahead as scheduled on August 03 and 04, however, Ajax have other plans.
The Urban Warriors will be returning to the High Court today, July 24 where they will apply to interdict the start of the Absa Premiership, as they look to settle all the legal battles which stemmed from Ajax’s ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.
The Cape Town-based club is set to appear in court today at 10 am and it remains to be seen what the outcome will be and whether the Absa Premiership will go ahead as planned.
