Premier Soccer League Announce Fixtures But Ajax Cape Town Set To Interdict Start Of The League

The Premier Soccer League announced the opening fixtures of the Absa Premiership yesterday despite Ajax Cape Town returning to court today.

Following Judge Denise Fischer’s ruling of having Ajax reinstated into 15th position on the Absa Premiership and deemed the promotion/relegation play-offs null and void, the PSL confirmed that they will be appealing this judgement.

In addition, the league also confirmed that the Absa Premiership will go ahead as scheduled on August 03 and 04, however, Ajax have other plans.

The Urban Warriors will be returning to the High Court today, July 24 where they will apply to interdict the start of the Absa Premiership, as they look to settle all the legal battles which stemmed from Ajax’s ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.

The Cape Town-based club is set to appear in court today at 10 am and it remains to be seen what the outcome will be and whether the Absa Premiership will go ahead as planned.

@2twice, you are either oversimplifying the matter or have a blind loyalty.

@setlaboswana if you understand work protocol you would know that a chairman would never be in charge of mere registration, he wont even supervise it for that matter. Yes one would say heads must roll but we cant now say the whole league leadership is incompetent based on this one issue. There is no excuse for not knowing the rules. You cant now say but the psl as well didnt know, that doesnt change the fact that you have violated the rules already.

@2twice, you are saying the same thing you have said earlier today. A leader takes responsibility of the mess made in his/her organisation by his/her staff, overall members of his/her staff represent him/her in the execution of their duties.

@setlaboswana @Bukwayinja, we have since passed that stage. Ajax were reinstated by the Court. It is a futile exercise to debate on whether or not Ajax were wrong. Again you are failing to grasp the legal implications of this decision. The court merely said becos a foreign team is involved take this matter to fifa, forgeting that fifa has said safa must deal with it after cassim referred this same issue to fifa. the judge never said ajax were right to field ndoro but rather that Mokhari sc was not suppose to decide this matter, it was fifa, forgeting that mokhari is acting under instruction from safa who acted under fifa instruction.

@Line's Man... a player can be registered even if he/she is ineligible to play. Teams have played ineligible players and faced the music. What’s special about Ajax?

@setlaboswana as much as Khoza may have influence within the PSL but you cannot tell me a secretary failing to peform their duty can be attributed to the Chairmen in any organization. Chairmenship has nothing to do with the daily business of the PSL. You need to understand board governances. We cannot now based on this one blunder by junior staff make this an indictment of how Khoza does his work as chairmen. We not even referring to multiple issues here in order to rightfully blame the head of the organization. If Khoza is such a bad leader all along what does this say about the BOG (includes Sundowns) who keep electing him to lead them?

Ajax knew not to play Ndoro but they continued. They must play in the NFD.

Ay I wash my hands like Ponthinus Pilate from the Bible with you people if you don't see that Ajax don't have a case here.

@Vhivha, if that is the case. You reasoning is wrong. The secretary serves the chairperson, not the other way round.

@2twice, you understand my point. Again, you are blowing hot air. How can a leader not have influence in his organisation? My man, be serious?

@Bridgertte Layun. Two Centres of Power from Khoza and Jordaan (Pirates & PSL; and SAFA & Mayorship) is killing our beautiful game

@2twice, there is no such as collective responsibility man, only one person pull a trigger. We cannot go on like this. People get bonuses for their individual contribution in an organisation, but when things go wrong, it is a collective, no man. Khoza will always be responsible for the mess in the league by virtue of him being the chairperson and this position does not need your approval.

@2twice, simple question? In an Organisation/Family/Company/Go vernment, e.t.c, who takes the blame if things go wrong? Its not about taking the blame but the leader takes responsibility. If you think a chairmen has control or influence on the daily registration of players then you dont know his role. Its called taking responsibilty not because you are the actual wrongdoer.

Some people are posting sitting on a beer crate at the tarven,it very clear.. There is nothing wrong with the PSL registerung a player absolutely nothing wrong..the Ajax management didn't do their duty to check if Ndoro is eligable or not to play as Twice have said..even them(Ajax)I haven't heard them denying that they played an non eligable player, they are just running all over making no sense.nxas
