Moroka Swallows coach Zeca Marques and his technical team have offered Paulo Loureiro a trial with the Dobsonville-based outfit.
Loureiro, who was born in Johannesburg, attended a trial at Wits before heading to Swallows, where he is looking to impress Marques and his technical team. The coach said that the player, who holds a Portuguese passport, is a young prospect with the ability to play in more than just one position.
“Paulo is a youngster and I’m just looking at him. I’m keeping my options open obviously. He is a South African-born player. He’s also from Portugal so he is a South African-born Portuguese player. He is a left midfielder and can also play in the left-back position,” said Marques.
The 20-year-old is hoping to impress at the Birds and land himself a PSL contact. Swallows have a number of players training with them at the moment, with the club looking to add depth to their ranks.
