Polokwane City Eyeing PSL Stay

Polokwane City will be looking to save their PSL status this afternoon as they travel to Giyani Stadium to face Black Leopards.

City won their game against Lidoda Duvha a week ago and this is the final encounter of the PSL play-offs, Rise and Shine go into this looking to get a draw.

Coach, Boebie Solomons revealed that the aim is to play a normal game and not to focus on the result but the game itself.

“Yeah you know it’s in our hands, we aim to use the advantage. We need to focus on the game not the result, I told the guys to relax and keep their feet on the ground. I don’t want to them to focus on the result, get over anxious and end up committing silly mistakes. I told my players not to worry too much on what is at stake but just go there and play a normal game.

“The guys are eager to play in the PSL and we shouldn’t have been in this situation but it’s football. I’m pleased with their response you know. We were inexperienced and we made silly mistakes but we’ll try and rectify that this afternoon. We don’t need to win the game or go all out to attack because we could be vulnerable at the back. They’re the ones looking for a win at all costs so we’ll play our normal game and take our chances,” added Mzala.

Rise and Shine lead the play-off standings by seven points while Leopards have six points which means this game is a must win for Lidoda Duvha.

The game gets underway at 15:00 at Giyani stadium in Thohoyandou.
