City Dedicate League Fixtures In Remembrance Of Mogau Tshehla
Polokwane City to honour Mogau Tshehla in league games
Polokwane City will dedicate their next 10 league fixtures in the memory of defender Mogau Tshehla who tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident earlier this month.
The footballing fraternity was rocked by the sudden death of the 26-year-old defender who had joined Rise and Shine in 2017 from Witbank Spurs.
The club will start with the Limpopo derby where City visit will face Baroka FC, this coming Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, in honour of Tshehla.
“The team has decided to play the next ten games to honour our fallen comrade. This was a unanimous decision taken by the players, technical staff and management,” said the club's spokesperson, Vusi Mtimane speaking to Soccer Laduma.
“The club has done all it can to help the players get over the loss of their teammate and our supporters will see the determination they will have when they play against Baroka to honour Mogau," added Mtimane.
“We look forward to playing Baroka in the derby and to resume our league campaign. The club definitely wants to finish stronger this year,” he concluded.
Rise and Shine currently sit third from the bottom of the league table with 22 points and will look to improve on that standing.
