Polokwane City will hold trials for players under the age of 23 on Thursday and Friday (19&20 June) this week in Polokwane, with a view to give youngsters a chance.
Rise and Shine believes the trials will earn youngsters an opportunity to dream big and will be conducted by coach, Boebie Solomons, before another set of trials are scheduled in the week of the June 25.
According to a statement released by the club’s PRO, Patrick Baloyi, the trials will start at 10:00, and all the players are encouraged to organise their own transport, food and accommodation.
“The essence of the trials is to give youngsters a chance to show what they can offer in the team. We want to have a successful season and by doing that, youngsters ought to be given a chance. The other trials, where players of all ages will be invited, will be conducted a week later so we only require under 23’s on these trials, ” said City General Manager, Ralli Ramabodu.
In addition, players must have a playing record, South African ID or birth certificate and only South Africans are invited.
