Polokwane City's Bernard Molekwa ready to learn from newly appointed head coach Jozef Vukusic
Polokwane City former head coach, Bernard Molekwa has told Soccer Laduma that he is looking forward to working with the new Slovakian coach, Jozef Vukusic.
Rise and Shine announced the appointment of the Slovakian-born mentor yesterday along with the signing of seven new players. Vukusic’s appointment means that Molekwa will serve as an assistant coach under the 53-year-old at the Limpopo-based side.
“He brings a lot of experience to the team and I’m ready to learn from him,” said Molekwa to Soccer Laduma.
“As a team, we are ready to go to the next level. He has coached in Africa and in South Africa before so I know his integration will be effortless. I’m still a young coach so I know this is the perfect opportunity for me to learn.
“The team is serious about competing for trophies next season and we needed all the experience, that’s why we have signed the players and brought in the coach who could help us in the upcoming season,” he added.
Molekwa was appointed as the head coach after serving as the club’s Team Manager. He took over the reigns from Luc Eymael.
Meanwhile, the team has since announced the arrivals of Mohammed Anas, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba‚ Themba Chauke‚ Tebogo Kalaka‚ Bongani Manavhela‚ Msekeli Mvalo and Khayalethu Mjoli.
