A number of key players from Polokwane City will have to tread carefully when the Limpopo-based side takes on SuperSport United in a Tuesday league encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Several key players from Rise and Shine run the risk of serving a one-match ban as they have accumulated three yellow cards. The likes of influential midfielder Jabulani Maluleke, striker Rendani Ndou, and defender Simphiwe Hlongwane are all on three yellows each and could sit out City’s next encounter if they are booked.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper and Zimbabwean international; George Chigova, Pule Tlolane, defender Walter Maponyane and Thabiso Semenya are all on two yellow cards each.
Rise and Shine have fought hard to scrape themselves out of the relegation zone with a hard-earned victory over Mamelodi Sundowns and they held Orlando Pirates to a 1-1 draw. They will aim to fight out of the bottom half of the table by securing all three points against Matsatsantsa on Tuesday night.
The crew reported earlier that the side from Limpopo had completed the signing of Malawian striker, Muhammed Sulumba, although the player's documents are yet to finalised and he will be unable to make his debut against SuperSport.
The game is scheduled to commence at 19h30.
