Polokwane City coach, Boebie Solomons, told the Siya crew that his team is ready to battle against the University of Pretoria ahead of their league encounter on Sunday afternoon at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The former Santos mentor said his team has been preparing for almost two weeks at the back of their 1-0 loss to Free State Stars at Goble Park on November 9.
“My team is slowly getting there, I can see their response despite our loss against Stars. We are getting better in terms of organisation and we are preparing very well. I’m impressed with their response but I’d like to see the improvement in our games now.
“We will be playing at home against Tuks and we need to use that advantage as we plan to get as many points as we can at Peter Mokaba. The most crucial point is to get the team away from this position and get a better position on the standings,” added Solomons.
Although Tuks are currently sitting on position 13 with eight points, one position above 'Rise and Shine', Solomons said the game will not be easy as Tuks has players who have campaigned in the PSL.
“We can’t take things lightly because we know Tuks can be a difficult team to play against. We all know they have one year in the top flight so we just have to ensure we stick to our game plan.
The Polokwane-based outfit will go into this encounter with the exception of Sifiso Mbhele, who sustained a knee injury against Ea Lla Koto.
