Alexander joined the Citizens from Ajax Cape Town at the end of last season, and the Mitchell’s Plein-born player says he’s looking forward to the game tonight.
This will be Alexander’s third match for the Polokwane-based club this season, where he has formed a great combination with former Platinum Stars midfielder, Benson Mhlongo, in the middle of the park for Rise and Shine.
Speaking to the crew ahead of the game, Alexander said they’ve prepared well for the game and hope to register a win at home.
“I’m just anxious and excited at the same time you know. This is my former team and former teammates. I want to do well against them not to prove anything to them though. They’ve done well against Mamelodi Sundowns last week and they’ll come here motivated you know. We’ve done well so far too and we’d like to get a win at home. Remember it’s our first game at home and we must win.
“We hope to repeat last season’s feat by winning our first game against Ajax again this season. We hope to capitalise on the fact that they’ve travelled from the Mother City up to Limpopo. We’ve prepared well for the game, we’ve looked at their videos as well,” said Alexander.
