Polokwane City have continued their pre-season preparations under the tutelage of new coach Josef Vukusic.
Rise and Shine played their first friendly against National First Division side, Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila where Sammy Seabi and Vusimusi Mngomezulu were among the goalscorers for the Limpopo-based side.
City face Baroka next on Wednesday and the team’s spokesperson, Vusi Ntimane has told Soccer Laduma that the players are enjoying themselves under the Vukusic.
“There is a new energy in the team. We believe that the players can sustain this momentum and carry it through when we start the new season,” said Ntimane.
“The new players have fitted in well with the team. The beautiful thing is that we have all our players fit and available so everyone is on an equal footing when it comes to putting themselves up for selection,” added the City spokesperson.
Rise and Shine will play SuperSport United, Highlands Park and newly promoted NFD side Maccabi before ending their pre-season with a clash against Bidvest Wits on 28 July 2018.
Meanwhile, the club is back at the headquarters, Polokwane City Village where they will take on their neighbours Baroka on Wednesday.
