Polokwane City new coach, Jozef Vukusic, has called for the players to start building a new legacy this season as the team prepares for their clash against Mamelodi Sundowns tonight.
The new Rise and Shine coach spoke to Soccer Laduma and said that tonight’s game must be the start of a ‘new history’ for the club as they set their sights on becoming a force in the league.
“Tonight we need to write a new history for the team. I’m happy that we get to play such a big game early on in the season,” said Vukusic.
“A game of this magnitude this early in the season is good for our mentality. We know their quality but we have our own quality as well. We have worked hard in our pre-season preparations and we know that all the hard work will pay off for us.”
Vukusic further informed the crew that he has a clean bill of health with all his players available for the monumental fixture.
“All the players are ready to play. Everybody wants to play and that’s the mentality I want,” added the Serbian mentor.
“This is the moment we must take to build a new legacy for the team. We are excited about this challenge,” he concluded.
The Limpopo-based side suffered a 1-0 defeat to rivals, Black Leopards in their opening league fixture of the 2018/19 season and will be looking to bounce back with what will be an impressive victory should they beat the Brazilians.
