Solomons Welcomes Opening Tuks Clash

Following the PSL draw fixture for the 2014/15 season, Polokwane City coach, Boebie Solomons, revealed that he's happy with the draw.

The coach revealed the draw will give them an opportunity to boost their confidence and they won't  undermine their opponent.

Rise and Shine were drawn against University of Pretoria, and will get their campaign underway on the weekend of 8-10 August.

Although the Polokwane-based club beat Tuks twice last season, 2-1 and 3-0, Mzala insists that this is a tough encounter.

"I'm happy that we're opening at home. It will boost our confidence and we feel like we can get the maximum points from our first game. I'm glad that I've got a couple of weeks to work with the players. I know the next season will not be an easy one for us. The PSL is one of the toughest leagues and we just have to keep learning.

"Yes, we beat them twice but it doesn't mean we must underestimate them. I belive we can build a nice momentum towards the start of the season. I feel the play-offs helped us a lot and we'll be a different team next season. My team has improved a lot and I hope to see that next season," said Mzala.

Rise and Shine's second game is away to Maritzburg United on the weekend of 12-13 August.
