Polokwane City travel to AmaZulu on Wednesday to hunt for three points, with a view to escape the relegation axe that’s hanging over their heads.
The Polokwane-based club is boosted by the return of defender, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi, who was out with a knee injury.
'Rise and Shine' are fresh from five consecutive losses including one in the Nedbank against Golden Arrows, and the news of Tshikovhi’s return, will help relieve coach Boebie Solomons’ headache.
Speaking to the Siya crew, club PRO, Patrick Baloyi, said there is a number of players coming from injuries and some are out on suspension.
“It was unfortunate to lose against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday but our mistake was to come back in the second half. We gave them enough space to play and that’s where they capitalised on us. Giving them too much respect was not going to help us you know but we must focus on the game against AmaZulu. They’re not going to be easy but some of our players are coming back.
“We need to fight , work on our mindset and ensure we stay in the PSL. We have eight matches to go and all is not lost. I can confirm to you though that Rofhiwa, Jabu Maluleke and Siphesihle Nzimande are back from injury. Puleng Tlolane is out with a suspension. Tlou Molekwane is also out and Moffat Mdluli is not going as well due to hamstring injury,” said Baloyi.
