Polokwane City Looking To Upset Chiefs

Polokwane City head coach, Boebie Solomons, has declared that his side will be seeking a victory against Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs, in tonight's fixture.

City will enjoy home ground advantage going into this tie, however, Kaizer Chiefs also boast strong support in Limpopo, but Rise and Shine will be gunning for nothing less than an upset.

Boebie Solomons told the official club’s website about the importance of preparing appropriately to face a club like Chiefs, and the significance of getting all three points.

“Everyone knows that Kaizer Chiefs are a dangerous team to contend against, but we are ready for them. We are well prepared and we need the points just as much as they do,” Solomons said.

“It is a home game for us and we need to capitalize on that. We have other matches which are away. Travelling is hard and taxing, so we need to do ourselves a favour and win at home. This will also help us in the fight of getting away from the relegation zone”, Solomons told

“We have beaten the so-called big teams before, we can do it again”, he concluded.

City face Chiefs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on tonight with the match scheduled for 19:30
