There are currently several players in the Premier Soccer League whose contracts are nearing an end and Soccer Laduma takes a look at where they could possibly end up next season.
Khuzwayo’s future at Chiefs has been under much speculation with his deal expiring at the end of June this year. The goalkeeper has been strongly linked with a move to Benni McCarthy’s outfit, City, as well as Orlando Pirates.
Andile Jali and Tokelo Rantie:
Both Andile Jali and Tokelo Rantie will see their contracts with KV Oostende and Genclerbirligi respectively, come to an end on June 30 this year. Jali has been linked with Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, while Rantie has been strongly linked with Cape Town City.
Billiat’s contract with Sundowns also ends in June and the player has been linked with an extended stay at the Chloorkop-based club, as well as moves to Pirates, Chiefs and Azerbaijan outfit, Qarabag.
Tsepo Masilela and Siphiwe Tshabalala:
Both Masilela and Tshabalala’s contracts with Chiefs come to an end in June, however, the Siya crew previously reported that discussions with Amakhosi about extending the duo’s stay are set to be included.
Asavela Mbekile and Thabo Nthethe:
Mbekile and Nthethe will see their stay with Masandawana also end mid-year. While there has been no talk of an extension for the duo, Nthethe has been linked with the likes of Chippa United and Maritzburg United.
Shuaib Walters and Vincent Kobola:
The City duo will see their contracts with the club come to an end in a few months, however, while no talk of a contract extension for Walters has been revealed, the Siya crew was informed that City will likely extend the stay of Kobola in the coming months.
The former Ajax Cape Town captain will see his contract with the Urban Warriors expire on June 30. The Siya crew previously reported that City and Bidvest Wits were monitoring the player’s situation.
