Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane was critical of some of the decisions made by the match referee on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilians hosted Cape Town City at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, where they secured a 3-2 win over the Citizens in the Absa Premiership.
Speaking to the media, Pitso Mosimane revealed that he thinks that the match referee got several decisions incorrect on the night, adding that even Phakamani Mahlambi should have been booked for diving.
However, the head coach seemed to agree with the decision to give City a penalty, which saw them draw level at one point in the second half.
“Was it a penalty because of the handball? Or a foul? To be honest, I saw a hand raised, I am not sure if it’s a handball but I saw a hand raised, I am not complaining of handball and not complaining about the foul that he gave in the last minutes,” Mosimane told the media.
“He was fair and he was right, (but) he should have booked Phaka (Phakamani Mahlambi) for diving, he got all the decisions wrong. But what are you going to do, if we speak when we lost it’s like an excuse but he didn’t do well tonight, he failed,” he added.
