Jali To Sundowns ‘Close’, Chiefs Set To Lose Out
Pitso Mosimane says that Mamelodi Sundowns are close to signing Andile Jali, and that it’s now ‘up to him to sign’ as Kaizer Chiefs are set to miss out on the Bafana international.
The Siya crew reported this week that Jali’s future should be finalised by the end of this week as he looks to make a decision on his future, after recently becoming a free agent, with Sundowns and Chiefs both in the running.
It seems, however, that Masandawana are likely to lead the race for his signature, with Mosimane explaining that they are ‘very close’ to getting the deal done.
Speaking after winning the PSL Coach of the Season prize last night, Mosimane said, “There is progress. We are really talking to Jali now and we are very close… To be honest it’s up to him to sign.
"We’ve discussed‚ we’ve spoken‚ and we’ve seen his terms and obviously its business‚ he wants more. We have reached a good level and a good point of understanding with him.”
Jali last played in South Africa for Orlando Pirates before leaving for KV Oostende in the Belgian Pro League.
