Pitso On Who The Player Of The Season Is And Why...
Pitso Mosimane Reveals Who He Thinks Is The Player Of The Season
Pitso Mosimane has revealed who he thinks is the player of the season and gives several reasons why.
The Mamelodi Sundowns head coach walked away with the Absa Premiership Coach of the Month award for April, after guiding his side to win the league title.
Speaking to the media, Mosimane revealed that he thinks that Percy Tau should be crowned as the player of the season, adding that if any other player can match what the 23-year-old has done this season, then the title should go to them.
“The player of the season is next to me (Tau), scored 11 goals, 11 assists, contributed to 45% of the 49 goals we have scored, played every Wednesday when other people were resting. Played for Bafana when other people were not playing for Bafana, never was out of the game because of fatigue or even injury, never injured and never found him playing with the low tempo today, the next time he’s got high tempo,” Mosimane told the media.
“If he didn’t play very well, (it) is only when he did not convert the chances he got, playing under high pressure, must win, not to make it to the top eight, no… must win… must win the league.
“On the flight, on the transit, different weathers, four seasons, he played under those four seasons, try to win each and every cup and I think if anybody can match that then for me personally I can consider that as a player of the season,” he added.
