The toughness of the Q3 leg in the Absa Premiership seemed to be the re-occurring theme in Pitso Mosimane’s post match interview following Mamelodi Sundown’s narrow 1-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday night.
“It’s tough, we are grinding the results we need. Teams come here and park the bus, but we are managing to find ways and scoring the goals we need, but it’s tough, " exclaimed Mosimane.
“They played better than us, but the most important thing is we got the three points. At this stage, it is not about pretty football, it is about grinding the results we need, ”said the Sundowns coach.
The 1-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic shot Sundowns to the summit of the PSL table, but Pitso insists that there's still a long way till the end the end of the season.
“It’s tough for us at the moment as we are losing players to suspensions, but we welcoming other players back. At Sundowns once you are pain-free, you have to play. I put Rodney Ramagalela, he fought and Khama Billiat had no legs in the 80th minute but I kept him on the field”
“For us we keep going, we remain humble, and we move onto the match on the weekend,” added Pitso.
Sundown's next fixture will be against cross-town rivals, Orlando Pirates, in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals on Saturday.
