Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, says that his players' habit of winning is what helped them to grind out the win against Tshwane rivals, SuperSport United on Saturday.
Mosimane: I Wanted To Coach The Players
The Brazilians came out 2-0 winners at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in a difficult fixture and, their coach believes that it’s the winning mentality amongst his players that helped them claim all three points.
“Yes, it's true SuperSport were good in defence but my players are used to winning and they wanted to win that game and they did that,” he told the Siya crew.
"We wanted the three points in a derby and we got them, “ Pitso added.
'Jingles' did however admit that he would like to see his team improve going forward by scoring more goals.
“We just need to score more goals because at the end goals will be needed if you look at how teams like Wits are scoring. But the good thing is the players want to win," the former Bafana Bafana coach concluded.
Why Mosimane Went To The Tuks Dressing Room
Sundowns are at the top of the PSL standings, with a point advantage over nearest rivals, Bidvest Wits.
