Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has heaped praise on rivals Orlando Pirates for their performances in Africa, after the Bucs qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Orlando Pirates are the only South African club to have won the CAF Champions League and can write history again in the Confederation Cup final.
Mosimane says that Pirates go out there and represent the county, not only their club, and that other sides, including his own, should take note of their example as it gives them hope of achieving continental success.
"Pirates have the legacy of playing in Africa and they have done very well. What they do in Africa gives us hope,” he told the Siya crew.
“We know we can learn from them because they are representing the country and not just Pirates. If you look at the way they go out and win in Egypt and DRC you can see that they have the fighting spirit and they don't over respect their opponents.
“We went to TP Mazembe and we over respected them and we lost the game. Pirates are different from that and they give us the hope that we can do well in Africa," Mosimane concluded.
