Mosimane: Castro Was Forever Not Around

Pitso Mosimane: Leonardo Castro Was Forever Not Around

By Soccer Laduma - Dec 22, 2017 11:57 AM

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane, revealed that Leonardo Castro had his own issues and things did not work out for him during the final stages of his stay at the club.

Castro completed his move to Kaizer Chiefs on December, 16, after being heavily linked with an exit from the Chloorkop-based club despite his previous contributions to the team’s success.

Talking to the media, Head Coach Mosimane was videoed saying that Castro was dealing with his own personal issues, but commended the footballer by revealing that the club will only look to keep the good memories of the Colombian.

“He had his own issues, personal issues that we don’t want to talk about and we supported him on that,” Mosimane revealed.

“He was forever not around, all the time in Colombia. You’ve got to understand that, you’ve got to support that.

"You know, but what a good football player, never missed training, never missed training, he gave his best. It just did not work out you know, its one of those that you ask yourself now, the guy was scoring 13 goals, he scored 1, what happened?"

"You know, injuries also, a lot of issues you know, we only keep good memories of Leo, Leo is a good boy," he added.

Pitso does not reveal that this was in his contract : this agreed to be underpaid as he also had to run his tavern in Colombia . In actual he was part timing ndunu job as per contract, at Chiefs he is on full professional contract. Yizo dl'imali mfana.

@TBS serves Chiefs right . They will have to pay Castro almost half a million every month just to sit on the bench coz i dont see him playing. He was suffering from home sickness at Sundowns and it has not gone away

No wonder why he was struggling to pick up form. Pitso should've got him a nyatsi so that he can always be around.

The reason why players move up and down on a different teams is bcz of money,we knw that story once other team offer him a good salary lyk it or not his gonna join them,if Castro was hv a personal issue why he didnt not choose to move back in his country or sumwhere in Uerop or South America, the issue was the money that why he choose chiefs, ndunu fc is wealthy on their fans mount bt when cums to paying their players dololo

Some ppl dnt just get it, every players ' contract hv different clauses . U dnt jst relise players like u a dumping potatoes. If the team is interested in any players from a certain camp bt dnt meet the demands of his contract then there is no deal.
