Pitso Mosimane did not want to dwell too much in discussing Jose Ali Meza’s future at the club.
The Siya crew reported last week that the Venezuelan is growing frustrated with his situation at Mamelodi Sundowns, with a source indicating that the player is being linked with a move away from the club, after struggling for game-time.
However, Meza is not the only player low down on the pecking order at the club, with the likes of Jeremy Brockie, Aubrey Ngoma and Oupa Manyisa not making a single league appearance in the Brazilians’ last six to seven encounters.
Speaking to the media, Mosimane would not give anything away about Meza’s situation at the club, adding that if he is asked about Meza, he should be asked about several other players who are believed to be frustrated at their lack of game-time.
“Meza? Brockie? What about Brockie? Why Meza? What about Brockie, What About Aubrey Ngoma? I mean why you go to Meza, is he your buddy?” Mosimane told the media after last night’s 2-1 loss to the Brazilians.
“I am giving you names, ask about more, Meza? I mean guys, should I take Maboe out for Meza to play? Ask about others, be intelligent, you don’t want to ask about Brockie?
“Ask about Aubrey Ngoma… I mean really, at Sundowns you’ve got to play hey, you’ve got to earn your stripes, Maboe, are you happy with him? Seven goals? Who scores seven goals? Is he okay? A boy from Maritzburg? I mean really, give him credit,” he added.
