Orlando Pirates coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, says his team will not do special preparations for Saturday’s Nedbank Cup clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Speaking at a press conference in Johannesburg today, Vermezovic said his players know what to do when they come up against the Brazilians.
"For big games you don't need special preparation. The players are motivated already and know what they need to do. Even if things aren't going well like at this moment, against big teams they can turn things around 180 degrees,” said Vermezovic.
“I have watched Sundowns four times and there is a lot of quality at Sundowns. I have seen their quality, but we have that in our squad too,” added Vermezovic.
With Pirates having lost three finals already – the MTN8, Telkom Knockout and the CAF Champions League – Vermezovic is hoping that he can go all the way to the Nedbank Cup Final and win it.
"The team knows how to get to finals so hopefully the 4th time will be lucky for us," concluded Vermezovic.
Sundowns and Pirates will meet at Loftus Stadium on Saturday at 20h15.
