Orlando Pirates will be beginning life after coach Roger De Sa when they host Bidvest Wits in an Absa Premiership at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.
Eric Tinkler has taken the reins and will be hoping for a positive start against Wits.
Pirates recorded their first win of 2014 when they defeated Ajax Cape Town 2-1 at home.
The Soweto side has had mixed results at home this season, with four wins and three losses from seven matches.
The Buccaneers are placed eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 20 points from 11 matches.
Wits ended 2013 with three successive league wins, the last of which was 3-1 at home to Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Johannesburg team has claimed 10 points from their six away matches so far this season.
The Clever Boys are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 25 points from 13 matches.
In head-to-head stats, Wits and Pirates have met in 55 league matches since 1985.
Bucs have 23 wins compared to 12 for the Clever Boys, while no less than 20 matches have been drawn.
Pirates have won 12 of their 27 home matches against Wits, suffering five defeats in the process.
Last season Bucs did a league ‘double’ over the Clever Boys, winning 2-0 at home and 1-0 away.
