Word reaching the Siya crew is that Burkina Faso international, Paul Koulibaly, could be an option for Orlando Pirates, with the 27-year-old keen on making a move to South Africa.
According to a Soccer-Laduma source, Pirates are aware of the centre-back’s availability and are currently weighing up whether or not to table an offer for his services. It is thought that the Burkinabe international will be available on a free transfer due to the fact that his contract with Iraqi club, Al Shorta, is only a short-term deal.
Koulibaly, who impressed for The Stallions during their fine African Cup of Nations performance at the beginning of 2013, left Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest earlier in the year after they showed displeasure in him choosing to represent his country in the middle of their season.
It is now up to Pirates’ management to decide whether the defender would be a good acquisition for them.
