The two played together at University of Pretoria last season and helped them finish in the top eight in their maiden campaign in the topflight. However, they were snatched by the big teams, with Ngoma going back to Bucs as he was on loan at Tuks.
Since then, the lanky Zungu has grone from strength to strength, helping Sundowns maintain a place among the top teams in the league and making the step up to Bafana Bafana.
Ngoma told the Siya crew, "I’m very, very happy for him [Zungu]. I could see from the first day that I played with him that he’s going places.
"He’s got the heart and the football brain. I’m really happy for him and I wish him well and I wish he stays grounded and keeps on doing well for himself and his family.”
The 21-year-old Zungu is currently in Zambia with the rest of the Sundowns team as they take part in a four-team tournament and prepare for the second round of the PSL season.
