An Orlando Pirates midfielder is currently topping the statistic charts for making the most passes in the final third per 90-minutes of an Absa Premiership encounter.
According to the statistics, Mpho Makola tallies at least 22.3 passes in the final third of a build-up in each 90-minute encounters he has played in, with Mamelodi Sundowns’ Themba Zwane following behind Makola with 19.5 important passes.

Makola’s final third passing accuracy is currently rated at 82.9% with Zwane following in at 79.8%.
Although not making as many passes as the abovementioned players, SuperSport United’s Grant Kekana has a passing accuracy of 89.6% based on a minimum of 10 final third passes per 90-minutes.
