Orlando Pirates youngster, Nhlakanipho Ntuli, is confident that Amajita will do well in the COSAFA U20 Championships following their opening win.
The 17-year-old Buccaneer, who will join Dutch side, FC Twente, next year, put in a fine performance as Amajita beat Seychelles 4-0, getting the fourth goal in the rout.
A brace from Siyanda Ngubo, also of Pirates’ youth set-up, as well as one from Ajax Cape Town youngster, Ayabulela Magqwaka, sealed the win for Shakes Mashaba’s side, and put them top of their group.
Speaking to the Siya crew Ntuli said, “It was a good game for us, I just told myself to not think of the pressure, to just go out there, enjoy myself and make the nation proud.
“It’s been great working with the other players, I’ve been really impressed, and ever since we started our camp everybody has been working hard and preparing ourselves to win.
“We beat Seychelles but now it’s time for Zambia and every time we play against them it’s a big game, we’re going to have to work very hard.”
The game against Zambia, who are group favourites having won the last three Cosafa Under-20 Youth Championships, will take place on Saturday afternoon.
