Orlando Pirates has been nominated in the Club of the Year category for the 2013 edition of the Glo- CAF Awards.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the lists of nominees for various awards, including the Player of the Year and Player of the Year based in Africa, National Team of the Year, Coach of the Year and the Young National Team of the Year.
Bucs have been nominated following their impressive showing in the CAF Champions League in which they finished as runners-up to Al Ahly of Egypt.
Pirates reached the final of the champions league in style, after the beat some of the top club on the continent including TP Mazembe, Al Ahly and Zamalek.
The Parktown side was denied a chance of adding a second star after losing 2-0 to Al Ahly in the second leg of the final in Cairo on November 10, completing a 3-1 aggregate defeat.
