Orlando Pirates will play United FC, Polokwane City and AC Leopards of Congo Brazzaville in a four team tournament as they prepare for Saturday’s Absa Premiership match against SuperSport United.
The matches will take place at 10h00, 12h00 and 15h00 today.
Unfortunately for the Bucs faithful, they won’t be able to watch this tournament as it would be played behind closed doors.
“These matches will take place behind closed doors and will allow the teams enough time to try out various combinations ahead of their respective tasks,” read a statement on orlandopiratesfc.com.
Meanwhile, Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi is expecting a tough clash against SuperSport when the two teams meet on Saturday.
“SuperSport United will not be an easy team to beat even though we are hosting them in Orlando,” Lekgwathi told orlandopiratesfc.com.
“They have over the years proven to be a great team and the fact that they lost to us in the Telkom Cup, will be a bigger motivation for them to fight for a result in Orlando.
“We need points and every game we play is a cup final, so our fans must also be in the same spirit,” concluded Lekgwathi.
