Bucs’ Attacking Profile As They Prepare For Arrows

Orlando Pirates will get their 2017/18 season Absa Premiership campaign going again, with a game against Golden Arrows this week.

The Buccaneers are scheduled to host Abafana Bes’thende at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Bucs emerged as 1-0 winners through a Thabo Qalinge goal when the two teams played earlier this season – during their Telkom Knockout Last 16 match in October.

Going into their 11th league match of the season, Pirates are looking to score their ninth goal of the campaign. So far this season, Pirates have scored eight goals. On the other hand, Arrows have already scored 14 goals and are in second place on the PSL log. Bucs are 7th on the standings.

On average, Milutin Sredojevic’s side is scoring 0.80 goals per match. They are yet to score a penalty goal this season. From the eight goals the team has scored, three were headed goals. Bucs have amassed 130 shots at 13.0 shots per match. Of the 130 shots they have had, only 41 have been on target at 4.1 shots on target per match.

Both Pirates and Arrows have each won three matches so far this season.

Last season, Pirates won their first-round league game against Arrows 3-1, with their former striker Tendai Ndoro scoring all three goals for the Soweto giants at Orlando Stadium. Nduduzo Sibiya scored the only goal for the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.

The second round fixture ended in a 2-1 win for Arrows as both Lerato Lamola and Knox Mutizwa socred for the KZN side, while Thamsanqa Gabuza netted for Bucs as the Soweto giants finished outside the top eight for the first time in the PSL era.
