News reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates beat Mozambican side Costa do Sol 2-1 in a practice match at the Rand Stadium this morning.
Goals from Kermit Erasmus and Joseph Molangoane were enough to earn the Buccaneers a win in this encounter that was played behind closed doors.
Brighton Mhlongo started in goals for Pirates, but was later replaced by Fatau Dauda.
New recruits, Ntsikelelo Nyauza and Lwazi Skosana also started the match, as well as young Nhlakanipho Ntuli.
As reported by the Siya crew, Pirates coach, Roger de Sa, was using the practice match to prepare for next Tuesday’s game against Wits at the Orlando Stadium.
