Orlando Pirates midfielders Tshepo Liphoko and Maselaelo Seanego have started their pre-season training with the rest of the Bucs squad, having joined the team on Tuesday morning.
The duo were on loan with Golden Arrows last season, where they played well under the watchful eye of coach Manqoba Mngqithi.
After his impressive season at Arrows, Liphoko was invited by Greek side Atromitos for a trial, where he impressed the club’s technical team with his pace and football skills.
“Yes, I can confirm that Maselaelo and Tshepo trained with us this morning. Obviously, I’m still assessing them because I haven’t work with them before,” Pirates coach Roger de Sa told the Siya crew.
De Sa could not confirm whether he will retain the two exciting midfielders or if he will send them out on loan again, ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
“This was my first day with them, so there’s nothing to report at this stage. I’m going to give them both a chance to show me what they can do for me. If they convince me that they are ready, I’m going to give them a chance,” added De Sa.
