Orlando Pirates have confirmed the signings of Mozambican forward Helder Pelembe, as well as former Platinum Stars defender Ntsikelelo Nyawuza and ex-Moroka Swallows midfielder Lwazi Skosana.
The crew reported last year that Pelembe had signed with the Buccaneers after impressive coach Roger de Sa and his technical team and now the club has confirmed that he has indeed signed and has also been registered with the PSL.
“Orlando Pirates is proud to announce the official signing of Mozambican forward Helder Pelembe,” read a statement on orlandopiratesfc.com.
“The club administrative office confirmed this morning that the 26 year-old Mozambican international who previously played for Portuguese outfit Portimonense, Ferroviario de Maputo, Liga Muculmana (all Mozambique) and Roses United in the National First Division, is now eligible to play for the club this after being registered with the Premier Soccer League.
“Other signings we can also confirm is that of (left winger) former Moroka Swallows and South African U23 International Lwazi Mandla Skosana (22) and centre back Ntsikelelo Nyauza (23), who previously played for Platinum Stars and Roses United,” added the statement.
Pirates coach Roger de de Sa said he was delighted to have the trio on board.
“We needed to beef up the squad,” said De Sa.
“Pelembe is a good player and I hope he will be able to give us the same type of performances he has been giving us at training. The other two players are also good acquisitions for us, but like I said, this is a big club and I hope the lads will quickly adapt to our style of play,” commented De Sa.
