Orlando Pirates have come out to say that they have not signed Mamelodi Sundowns attacker, Khama Billiat, amidst reports indicating that the Zimbabwean international is facing an exit from Chloorkop.
The Siya crew revealed in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, issue 1052, that Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are leading the race for the Zimbabwe international’s signature. As it stands, however, Pirates have informed the Siya crew that they have not agreed to a deal with the player.
Bucs’ top administrator, Floyd Mbele, told the Siya Crew that the 27-year-old is not a Pirates player - to his knowledge.
“Khama is a big player and if he were to sign for us I would be aware of it. No I’m not aware of us signing Khama Billiat,” said the club’s administration jokingly.
The Zimbabwean international has been at the centre of a media frenzy with his uncertain future with the Brazilians as he nears the expiry of his contract with the club.
Billiat along with teammate Leonardo Castro once formed a formidable trio with Bafana Bafana international and now France-based star Keagan Dolly. However, both players could leave Downs if they fail to reach personal terms and sign new, respective, contracts.
